Tensions boil over between Gragson and Magnussen at San Diego
The inaugural Anduril 250 at the Qualcomm Circuit in San Diego didn't just end with a result; it ended with fireworks. Noah Gragson, behind the wheel of the No. 4 Front Row Motorsports Ford, saw his day finished in the wall after contact in Turn 4 during the second stage. It was a brutal way to exit, and Gragson made his frustration known immediately after the race, confronting Kevin Magnussen—who was making his Cup Series debut for Trackhouse Racing’s Project 91 Chevrolet.
It is truly wild to see these worlds collide. The friction started on Lap 25 with some door-banging, but it reached a breaking point when Magnussen dived underneath Gragson, sending the No. 4 Ford spinning. When Gragson demanded to know why, Magnussen didn't mince words, telling him bluntly, “You (expletive) around… and you found out.”
The confrontation on pit road was electric, with Gragson questioning the driving standards and Magnussen repeatedly telling him to get out of his face. While Magnussen claimed the fastest lap of the race and finished 27th, Gragson was left with a 35th-place finish and a bitter taste.
