The upgrade packages landing at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix

The European season is in full swing, and as expected, the paddock is buzzing with technical revisions at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix. Mercedes leads the charge with a subtle but calculated tweak to their rear wing, adding centreline winglets designed to balance downforce and drag in a way they find quite attractive for this specific circuit.

Ferrari has arguably brought the most significant package, clearly hungry for more performance. They’ve overhauled the front wing, the floor, and even the sidepod shoulders and cokeline, all working in unison to boost aerodynamic load. Meanwhile, McLaren and Red Bull have focused their efforts on front wing refinements—McLaren with revised endplates and Red Bull tweaking their flap assemblies and element geometries to keep flow stable.

Down the grid, the approach varies wildly. Racing Bulls have arrived with circuit-specific Gurney flaps and a revised diffuser, while Williams is chasing downforce with new rear wing fairings and trailing edge extensions. Cadillac is focusing on cooling and efficiency with new louvres and actuator fairings. It is worth noting, however, that the garages at Alpine, Audi, and Aston Martin remain unchanged this weekend—they have brought absolutely no upgrades to this event.
