Toyota dominates first half of 2026 World Rally Championship

Toyota Gazoo Racing has enjoyed a commanding opening half to the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship season, securing six victories in the first seven events. The team currently holds a 127-point advantage over Hyundai in the manufacturers' standings, having claimed 18 of the 21 available podium spots throughout the season thus far.

The team's success has been defined by the consistent performance of its five-driver roster. Elfyn Evans currently leads the drivers' championship, supported by a strong showing from Takamoto Katsuta, Oliver Solberg, Sami Pajari, and Sébastien Ogier, all of whom hold top-five positions in the standings. This collective strength has ensured that the GR Yaris Rally1 remains the car to beat regardless of the surface, ranging from the snow of Sweden to the asphalt of the Canary Islands.
