Türkkan secures Junior WRC victory at Croatia Rally

Ali Türkkan navigated the final leg of the Croatia Rally to secure a victory in the Junior WRC, finishing 17.3 seconds ahead of his closest rival. Entering the deciding Sunday with a lead of over 30 seconds, Türkkan faced significant pressure from Mille Johansson, who secured three stage wins during the final day of competition.

The race dynamic shifted on Saturday during SS11, when a tyre issue cost Johansson over 90 seconds, allowing Türkkan to capitalize and take control of the rally. Although Johansson narrowed the gap throughout Sunday's stages, Türkkan's consistent pace ensured he maintained enough of an advantage to clinch the win.

Following the conclusion of the event, Johansson retains his position at the top of the Junior WRC standings with 68 points, while Türkkan moves into second place with 43 points. Craig Rahill rounded out the podium, marking his first top-three finish in the championship series. The FIA Junior WRC season continues next month at the Rally de Portugal.
