Tymok Abramowski takes a dominant maiden WRC3 victory in Estonia

It is not often you see a driver dismantle the field with such calculated precision, but that is exactly what we witnessed from Tymok Abramowski at Delfi Rally Estonia. In only his fourth start of the season, the former FIA ERC3 champion took his Ford Fiesta Rally3 to a maiden WRC3 victory that was as commanding as it was long overdue. He finished with an incredible margin of 7min 57.5sec over Nicolas Otto, with André Martínez rounding out the podium.

To understand the magnitude of this result, you have to look at the heartbreak of last year. Abramowski was leading this very event by almost two minutes when a brutal landing caused a heavy impact, ultimately overheating his engine and ending his rally in disaster. It is the kind of sporting frustration that can break a young driver, but the 20-year-old returned with a clear head. As he put it himself, "It is hard to describe how happy I am right now."

Despite admitting he was still searching for an optimal setup, Abramowski simply kept finding pace and stretching his lead. His consistency this year has been nothing short of insane; in his four outings in 2026, he has not finished below second place once. He now sits second in the overall standings, trailing Matteo Fontana by 24 points, though it is worth noting he has one fewer start than the defending champion.

The event itself was a war of attrition for the rest of the field, with Friday and Saturday claiming multiple crews. Nataniel Bruun managed to fight back to finish fourth after a roll on Friday, even pocketing two stage wins along the way. Meanwhile, Toyota Gazoo Racing development driver Kanta Yanaguida suffered a gutting technical failure in his Renault Clio Rally3, though he showed his spirit by restarting on Sunday to sweep both passes of Kääriku and secure fifth overall. Kerem Kazaz and Jarkkon Nikara, co-driving for Toyota co-driver Tomiya Maekawa, closed out the top seven.
