Ugo Ugochukwu dominates Silverstone with a masterclass performance

It was, quite simply, an absolute masterclass from Ugo Ugochukwu at Silverstone. The Campos Racing driver did not just win the Sprint Race; he dismantled the field, pulling away from pole position to secure his second victory of the season with a staggering 17-second lead. When a driver has that kind of pace, you just have to step back and appreciate the machine and the man working as one.

Behind the untouchable leader, history was being written. Yevan David put on a defensive display for the ages, holding firm to claim second place for AIX Racing. In doing so, he becomes the first driver from Sri Lanka to ever stand on a Formula 3 podium. It is the kind of result that defines a career, and watching him weather the pressure was pure motorsport drama.

Campos Racing nearly had a perfect outing, with Théophile Nael snatching the final podium spot in third. He didn't make it easy on himself, though; the Frenchman waited until the absolute final corner to execute an overtake on TRIDENT’s Matteo De Palo. It was a cold-blooded move to secure the trophy.

Further down the order, the racing remained intense. Noah Stromsted came home in fifth, leading an ART Grand Prix rookie, Maciej Gladysz, while Louis Sharp crossed the line in seventh for PREMA Racing. TRIDENT’s Freddie Slater finished eighth, just ahead of Hitech’s Fionn McLaughlin, with the final point of the day going to PREMA’s James Wharton in 10th.

The action at Silverstone is far from over. The cars return to the tarmac for the Feature Race on Sunday morning at 08:25 local time, where Freddie Slater will have the prime opportunity to capitalize from pole position.
