WRC Promoter announces funding boost for Estonian rally talent
The WRC Promoter has unveiled a financial support package totaling €100,000 designed to aid emerging Estonian rally competitors. The initiative splits the funding equally, with €50,000 allocated to a prize pool for the top three eligible crews at the WRC Delfi Rally Estonia, and a matching €50,000 grant directed to the Estonian Next Rallystar Fund to support the development programme of Patrick Enok.
Running from 16-19 July in Tartu, the event serves as a significant proving ground for local participants. To qualify for the prize fund, which offers €25,000 for the winner, €15,000 for second place, and €10,000 for third, drivers must be Estonian nationals born on or after January 1, 1997, and entered in the WRC2 or WRC3 categories.
This investment aligns with the championship's broader strategy to cultivate a clear progression path for young talent as it prepares for a new regulatory cycle in 2027. By focusing on accessibility and development, the Promoter aims to bolster the future of the sport while showcasing the depth of the current Estonian talent pool.
