WRC Promoter secures highest FIA environmental rating
The WRC Promoter has attained the FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation, marking the highest level of recognition within the FIA’s environmental framework. This status confirms the organization's adherence to best practices regarding environmental management systems and a commitment to ongoing operational improvements.
The certification follows a rigorous audit conducted in December 2025, which evaluated the promoter's oversight of event logistics, media production, and procurement. Auditors specifically noted the organization's clear management policies and its proactive approach to tracking carbon footprints and integrating sustainability requirements into its supplier chain.
Bernhard Hafenscher, Innovation & Sustainability Lead at WRC Promoter, described the achievement as a key milestone for the group's ongoing sustainability efforts. The accreditation serves to bolster the 'Beyond Rally' initiative, a collaborative program that aims to share knowledge and implement green technologies—such as the mandatory use of 100% advanced sustainable fuels—across the WRC and the FIA European Rally Championship.
