Yohan Rossel secures historic first WRC2 victory for Lancia in Croatia

Yohan Rossel claimed a dominant victory at the Croatia Rally, securing the first-ever WRC2 win for the Lancia Ypsilon HF Rally2. Rossel maintained a flawless pace throughout the challenging tarmac event, finishing 38.8 seconds ahead of his brother, Léo Rossel, who piloted a Citroën C3 Rally2.

The Italian manufacturer celebrated a double podium finish as Nikolay Gryazin recovered from a Saturday turbo issue to secure third place. Gryazin’s strong Sunday performance included four stage wins, ensuring a successful weekend for the Lancia effort in just its second WRC start.

Elsewhere in the field, Alejandro Cachón overtook Roope Korhonen to claim fourth, while Roberto Daprá finished in sixth place despite a collision with a rock face on Saturday. The results saw Léo Rossel extend his championship lead, with Korhonen moving into second place in the standings following his inaugural WRC2 tarmac appearance.
