As Motorsport.com reports, Legacy Motor Club have secured a major piece for their future, announcing the hiring of Jeremy Bullins to guide Riley Herbst and the newly formed No. 84 Toyota team in 2027. Bullins steps into this new chapter after parting ways with RFK Racing this week, where he spent the 2025 and 2026 seasons as the crew chief for Brad Keselowski and the No. 6 Ford machine.
Bullins brings a massive resume to the pit box. He is a veteran crew chief boasting ten victories at the absolute highest level of the sport, split between eight wins with Team Penske and a pair with the Wood Brothers. That kind of pedigree does not just walk through the door every day, and the team knows it.

“Jeremy Bullins’ experience and leadership are exactly what we need on the No. 84,” said Jimmie Johnson, co-owner of Legacy Motor Club. Johnson pointed directly to Bullins' proven record across NASCAR, highlighting his capability to develop talent, foster winning environments, and drive innovation.
For Herbst, the arrival of his new crew chief marks a pivotal transition. Herbst is departing 23XI Racing at the end of the year and stepping into his third full-time Cup season as Legacy Motor Club expands to field a third full-time entry. While his career-best finish in the premier class sits at eighth, he arrives with a proven winning background in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series.
“Having someone who has won races and built teams at the highest level of this sport alongside me gives me a lot of confidence heading into 2027,” said Riley Herbst, driver of the No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE. He made it clear he is eager to get to work and build something special with his new squad.
Bullins is equally fired up about the trajectory of the organization and the enthusiasm of his incoming driver. “I was excited to meet Riley Herbst and see how passionate he is about racing, so I’m excited to give him some leadership to hopefully provide him a good opportunity in 2027,” Bullins said, noting the positive momentum currently building within Legacy Motor Club.
