Why the stream stops
It is not a glitch and it is not your subscription expiring. It is three steps, and they happen every single time.
Rights are sold country by country
A championship does not sell one worldwide deal. It sells a separate contract per territory, and each broadcaster pays only for its own.
The player reads your IP address
That contract obliges the broadcaster to serve its territory and no other, so its player checks where the connection comes from before it plays a single frame.
You travel, and it goes dark
Your account is fine and your card is fine. The connection is the wrong one, so the same subscription that worked at home returns an error.
