That opening postseason bout at Bristol Motor Speedway left the field scrambling. Remarkably, no Chase drivers managed to finish inside the top five at Bristol. Layne Riggs suffered a tough 32nd-place finish.
Despite that disaster, the No. 34 driver managed to hold onto the championship lead. Starting The Chase as the top seed has its privileges, but the cushion is razor-thin now. The leader sits atop the standings with just a three-point advantage over Kaden Honeycutt, who pilots the No. 11 Tricon Garage Toyota.
