This run of five straight poles is nothing short of wild, spanning a diverse set of circuits from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course and oval to the streets of Detroit, World Wide Technology Raceway, and now the 4.014-mile road course at Road America. Palou joins elite company as only the fifth driver to achieve five consecutive poles in the series, a feat matched by legends like Mario Andretti.
Palou’s form is staggering. With this latest pole, he pushes his series lead to 50 points and continues to look like the favorite for a fourth consecutive season championship. While he remains modest about his execution compared to last year's dominance, his speed is undeniable. With eight races still left on the schedule, he already has six poles this season, making the once-distant record of 71 look more like a finish line.
