Amelia Dimoldenberg returns for second season of Passenger Princess
It is absolutely wild to think that after the massive success of the debut series, which racked up an incredible 289 million views, Amelia Dimoldenberg is actually heading back into the passenger seat. Formula 1 has officially announced that Passenger Princess is returning for a second season, set to premiere this July 2026 on Amelia’s YouTube channel.
This time around, we are getting six new episodes filmed across the Barcelona-Catalunya and Austrian Grands Prix weekends. The lineup of Formula 1 drivers joining Amelia is impressive, featuring Charles Leclerc, Franco Colapinto, Valtteri Bottas, Gabriel Bortoleto, Kimi Antonelli, and Alex Albon. It is a brilliant mix of personalities for a series that aims to blend comedy with the high-stakes world of motorsport.
The premise remains as chaotic as you would expect, with Amelia continuing her quest to become a more confident driver. As Amelia herself put it, “Against all odds, they've let me 'drive' for another season.” She admits she is thrilled to be back, even while acknowledging she remains a liability behind the wheel. The series is produced and created by Dimz Inc. in collaboration with Formula 1, keeping that same signature interview style that made the first season such a hit.
Looking at the bigger picture, this is a massive play by Formula 1 to keep embedding the sport into popular culture. With the fanbase now exceeding 830 million people worldwide, they are clearly banking on the chemistry between Amelia and the drivers to reach new audiences. It follows a successful run of original content, including Netflix’s Drive to Survive and F1 The Movie, the latter of which pulled in a staggering $630 million at the global box office.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1, highlighted the importance of this unique access, noting that the series gives fans a rare look at the people behind the helmets. It is a genuine test for these drivers, too, as they face the challenge of trying to teach Amelia how to drive. If it captures even a fraction of the humour and candid moments from the first season—which featured George Russell, Oscar Piastri, Ollie Bearman and Carlos Sainz—we are in for a treat.
