Dan Ticktum to pilot the GEN4 Formula E car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
It is finally happening. Dan Ticktum is set to unleash the new GEN4 Formula E machine up the legendary 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill. This is the first time the public will get a proper look at this beast in action, and honestly, the specifications are enough to make your head spin. We are talking about a car that hits 0-100 km/h in approximately 1.8 seconds and reaches 0-200 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.
This is not just a tweak; it is a violent jump in performance. With permanent all-wheel drive and up to 600kW of power in ATTACK MODE, it is effectively 815hp of raw electric energy. Ticktum, who drives for the CUPRA KIRO team, did not hold back his enthusiasm: “The GEN4 is 50% more powerful in race mode than the current cars, handles like an absolute weapon with that permanent all-wheel drive, and it’s ready to fly up the hill.”
The spectacle does not stop there. Formula E is bringing the entire family—GEN1, GEN2, GEN3, and the new GEN4—to display a decade of evolution in one place. Beyond the adrenaline of the climb, the GEN4 is a technical marvel built for sustainability, featuring a battery without rare earth minerals and a design that is 100% recyclable or reusable.
