Dennis leads home Drugovich in Sanya for maiden Andretti 1-2
It was absolutely masterclass work from Andretti in Sanya. They controlled the race from the front row, navigating two Full Course Yellows and a Red Flag to deliver the team's maiden 1-2 finish. By holding back their ATTACK mode usage until the closing stages, they dictated the pace perfectly when it mattered most, securing a second win of the season for the Season 9 World Champion.
Drugovich was equally brilliant, marking back-to-back podiums to show some real turnaround in his first full season. Meanwhile, Pepe Marti produced an absolute wonder-drive for CUPRA KIRO, surging from near the back of the grid at the Red Flag restart to snatch third. It is the kind of tactical, high-stakes racing that makes you love this series.
Elsewhere, disaster struck for the championship leader. Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) saw his day ruined in a tangle with Zane Maloney (Lola Yamaha ABT), and Oliver Rowland (Nissan) threw away a potential podium with a late error into the wall. As we look toward Shanghai, the pressure is only mounting.
