Enea Bastianini signs with SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP team for 2027
Here is some massive news from the paddock: Enea Bastianini is heading to the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team starting in 2027. The Italian rider has signed a two-year deal that will place him alongside Raul Fernandez, who recently locked in his own contract renewal to stay with the American outfit.
It is a massive coup for a team that has established itself as a front-runner in the 2026 MotoGP World Championship. Bastianini brings an incredible CV to the garage, stretching all the way back to his Moto3 debut in 2014 and his 2020 Moto2 World Championship crown. After grabbing three podiums as a premier class rookie in 2021, he absolutely exploded onto the scene in 2022 with a stunning victory in Qatar.
That 2022 campaign also brought wins in the USA, France, and Aragon, sealing a brilliant 3rd place finish in the World Championship standings. Though an early-season injury blunted his momentum in 2023, the machine bounced back fiercely in 2024. He spent large chunks of that year right in the title fight, collecting nine Grand Prix podiums—which included two Grand Prix wins and 1 Sprint victory—on his way to 4th overall.
Carrying the legendary nickname 'Bestia'—The Beast—he brings a proven winning pedigree to the squad. His arrival coincides with the team's ongoing journey utilizing Aprilia’s RS-GP prototypes, with pre-season testing scheduled to kick off at Valencia immediately after the 2026 World Championship season wraps up.
“I am extremely excited to join the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team for the next two MotoGP Championships,” Bastianini said. “Starting from the test in Valencia this year, it is going to be a real new challenge for me as we are entering a new era with a new bike, new tires and new regulations. For this, I am happy to bring my experience and my fighting spirit to Trackhouse so that we can develop the new Aprilia RS-GP together. The team has grown a lot during 2026 and it has become a title contender – for sure I will do my best for us to stay on top.”
Trackhouse Entertainment Group owner Justin Marks echoed that enthusiasm for the upcoming pairing. “It’s a very exciting moment for the SuperFile Trackhouse team to welcome someone like Enea to race our Aprilias,” Marks stated. “His racing pedigree, his MotoGP winning history, and his experience at the top of this game all contribute to the perfect scenario for a racing team that we all believe is on the verge of greatness. Enea’s infectious personality, eagerness to get started, humility, and positivity are the attributes we always look for in our mission to attract athletes that are the entire package. We’re going to have a lot of fun chasing trophies and creating memorable moments over the next few years with Enea, Raul, and all the amazing people and partners at Trackhouse."
