Envision Racing and Jaguar extend partnership into the GEN4 era
It is official: Envision Racing and Jaguar are sticking together, carrying their partnership into the future of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Since they joined forces in Season 9, they have been a force of nature, racking up 23 wins, 58 podiums, and 13 poles. It is a staggering record for a collaboration that has turned the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 into the most successful machine of the GEN3 Evo era with 11 race wins.
Now, they are setting their sights on the GEN4 era beginning in the 2026/27 season, and the specifications are absolutely wild. We are talking about machines capable of hitting speeds over 335kph, with 0-100kph coming in just 1.8 seconds and 0-200kph in 4.4 seconds—a full 1.5 seconds faster than what we see today. With 50% more power in race mode and 600kW available in ATTACK MODE, the GEN4 cars are expected to be an average of 10 seconds faster per lap in qualifying. Plus, it will be the only single-seater with permanent all-wheel drive.
Envision Racing Team Principal Sylvain Filippi described the move as an important step, noting that the partnership is founded on shared ambition. Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal Ian James echoed the sentiment, confirming that the focus remains on providing a world-class powertrain to fight at the front. With Jaguar currently sitting second in the manufacturers' standings with 283 points, trailing Porsche by 41, this continuity is clearly their blueprint for staying at the top.
