Formula E makes a long-awaited return to Sanya

It has been seven long years, but Formula E is finally back on the island of Sanya. This weekend marks Round 11 of the 2025/26 season, and the stage is set for a massive return to a circuit that few current drivers actually know.

With only eight drivers on the grid having any previous experience at this venue, we are heading into total unknown territory. The action kicks off with Free Practice 1 on Friday 19 June at 16:30 local time, leading into a full day of sessions on Saturday 20 June, where Qualifying begins at 10:40 and the main race follows at 15:05 local time.
