Formula E returns to the streets of Sanya

It has been seven years since we last saw Formula E machinery tackle the island of Sanya. Now, the series returns for the 2026 Lianxin Sanya E-Prix, and the championship fight is truly on. With only eight drivers on the current grid having experienced this circuit before, we are in for a wild ride.

The action kicks off on Friday, 19 June, with Free Practice 1 at 16:30 local time. The rest of the weekend follows with Free Practice 2 on Saturday morning, ahead of the all-important qualifying session at 10:40 local time. The race itself is set for Saturday, 20 June, at 15:05 local time. It is a massive five-day event, and it is going to be fascinating to see who handles the return to this venue best.
