Formula E teams up with Sennheiser for immersive sound ahead of the London finale

Now, this is a wild partnership. Formula E has officially joined forces with Sennheiser to completely redefine how electric racing sounds, bringing professional audio solutions and pioneering AMBEO immersive technology right into the heart of the global series.

As the first all-electric championship, the series is leaning hard into sport-tech innovation. This technical partnership will see Sennheiser's AMBEO technology integrated deep into trackside operations and live broadcasts, capturing the unique, high-performance soundscapes of the upcoming GEN4 era. Dan Cherowbrier, CTO, Formula E, explained that the collaboration provides a dynamic setting to explore the future of sound in racing, connecting real-world audio innovation with practical application. Andreas Sennheiser, CEO, Sennheiser Group, added that great visuals deserve equally compelling sound, noting the potential to define the sport's acoustic character through dynamic in-car and trackside soundscapes.

Beyond what reaches television screens, the collaboration also touches onsite fan zones and VIP hospitality, making sure the championship delivers a cutting-edge experience across the board.

Thankfully, all eyes now turn to the track, because it all comes down to this. The 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is heading to London for a season-ending double-header at the world's only indoor/outdoor circuit, the London ExCeL. With just two races left in the GEN3 era, nine drivers remain in mathematical title contention with the crown firmly on the line.

The action at the 2026 Hankook London E-Prix kicks off with Free Practice 1 on Friday 14 August at 16:00 local time. Saturday 15 August features Free Practice 2 at 08:30 local, Qualifying at 10:40 local, and the Race at 15:05 local. The weekend concludes on Sunday 16 August with Free Practice 3 at 08:30 local, Qualifying at 10:40 local, and the final Race at 15:05 local, with all times detailed in BST.
