Formula E unleashes massive 21-round schedule for the GEN4 era
The GEN4 era is almost upon us, and the 2026/27 Formula E calendar is an absolute beast. We are looking at an unprecedented 21 rounds spread over 13 events, and frankly, the scale of this expansion is stunning. The action kicks off with pre-season testing in Jarama from 16-20 November, before the serious business starts on 18-19 December with a high-speed double-header under the floodlights in Jeddah.
The schedule is packed with ambition, including three massive new additions. First, we head to the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in February, marking a monumental month for American fans with a return to Miami arriving just a fortnight later. The European summer is equally insane, featuring a 10-round leg across five countries that includes first-time visits to the legendary Brands Hatch and the seaside Zandvoort circuit.
It all builds toward an epic conclusion. After a stop in Madrid and a trip to China, the season wraps up with a historic first: Tokyo will host the finale on 24 and 25 July. It is a double-header of night races to crown the champion, cementing that circuit as an instant classic. This is exactly the kind of aggressive, global growth this sport needs to showcase these new machines.
