Ajo confirms KTM Assen issues solved ahead of the Sprint

It was a tense morning for Pedro Acosta at Assen. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider was twice sidelined by the same mysterious issue, once during FP2 and again in MotoGP Q2, leaving the team scrambling to understand why the machine kept cutting out.

Thankfully, the answer was found before the lights went out for the Tissot Sprint. Team Manager Aki Ajo confirmed that the bike’s safety sensors were reacting to the aggressive kerb usage, triggering an emergency shutdown mode. As Ajo explained to Jack Appleyard, the bike was simply sensing values it hadn't encountered before during the morning sessions.

Crucially, there was no fault with the rider’s approach. Ajo was clear that Acosta was doing everything correct, with the team simply needing to adjust their internal settings to handle the bumps of the circuit. With the software constraints now updated, the team is ready for a solid race.
