Alex Marquez is back in the saddle for the Czech GP
It is official: Alex Marquez is back. The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider has been declared fit to compete for the rest of the Czech GP at Brno. After initially getting the green light for FP1 and then Practice, the medical staff confirmed he is ready for the full distance.
His return to the machine has been remarkably controlled. Marquez managed to finish 18th in the morning, followed by a 15th place in the afternoon Practice session. While he is heading to Q1, the gap is a testament to how close this field is; he was only 0.8s slower than the blistering all-time lap record set by Ai Ogura of the Trackhouse MotoGP Team. For a 2025 World Championship runner-up, it is a solid start to getting his rhythm back.
