Alex Marquez withdraws from the Czech GP
It is a tough break for Alex Marquez of BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP, who has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Czechia. After consulting with his team and the medical staff, he is choosing to step back and prioritize his recovery from the crash he sustained at the Catalan GP.
He had actually managed to get back on the bike, clearing the medical green light on Friday to return after missing two races. He even put in a solid effort to qualify 14th on Saturday morning at Brno. Still, he will not participate for the remainder of the weekend, as his focus shifts entirely toward reaching full fitness.
