Aprilia looks to dominate the Hungarian GP

Mugello was an absolute dream for Aprilia Racing. After taking a home Grand Prix win, Marco Bezzecchi heads to Balaton Park with a 17-point lead in the standings over his teammate Jorge Martin. The factory RS-GP machines look unstoppable, and with the pair having finished P3 and P4 here last year, they are the clear favorites to maintain their current momentum in Hungary.

However, the rest of the field is far from defeated. Marc Marquez looked incredibly comfortable back on his Ducati Lenovo Team machine, and with Balaton Park being a less demanding, anti-clockwise circuit—a true specialist subject for the reigning World Champion—he is a massive threat. Meanwhile, Pedro Acosta is hungrier than ever. After a gritty P6 at Mugello, he returns to a track where he took a P2 finish last season, looking to extract even more from his RC16.

Elsewhere, the rookie Diogo Moreira is building serious confidence after his best performance yet in Italy, while the Yamaha quartet, including Jack Miller, are hoping the shift away from the long straights of Mugello will allow them to finally find their feet. With Iker Lecuona stepping in at BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP and the intense battle between the top runners, this weekend is set to be a wild one.
