Ducati confirms the departure of Francesco Bagnaia

It is officially the end of an era. Ducati Corse has confirmed that Francesco Bagnaia will leave the team at the conclusion of the 2026 season. It is a stunning separation for a partnership that has truly defined a generation, delivering two world titles and ending a 15-year drought for the factory since Casey Stoner’s 2007 championship.

Looking at the numbers, it is simply insane what they have built together: 31 victories—the most of any rider in the history of the factory—62 podiums, and 28 pole positions. Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, rightly called Pecco a fundamental part of their sporting history, noting his professional character on and off the track.

General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna admitted that while recognizing when a cycle ends is difficult, the bond of respect and gratitude remains. They will close out this journey together until the final race, having fulfilled the dream of taking the Desmosedici GP back to the very top of the world.
