Ferrari looks to continue an incredible run at Le Mans

It is difficult to wrap your head around what Ferrari has achieved at La Sarthe. Since the 499P arrived in the FIA World Endurance Championship three years ago, the Italian machine has been simply undefeated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Whether it was the #51 in 2023 or the sister #50 car a year later, the Prancing Horse has found a way to master the 13.626km circuit every single time.

Now, the challenge grows even steeper. The #83 AF Corse crew added another victory to that total, pushing Ferrari to a fourth straight success that secured them the Manufacturers’ title. Nicklas Nielsen, who took that 2024 win, says that the car’s ability to adapt to this specific venue provides a massive boost of confidence. It is a sentiment echoed by Antonio Giovinazzi, who admits that managing the adrenaline for such a long, complex race is the ultimate test.

While the competition from the likes of Toyota, Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac Genesis, and Peugeot remains intense, the pedigree is undeniable. Ferrari has 11 wins since their first in 1949, and another victory would bring them level with Audi’s tally. As Miguel Molina noted after describing the 2025 race as a 24-hour sprint, staying mistake-free is the only way to survive. Watching the #51 trio of Giovinazzi, James Calado, and Alessandro Pier Guidi fight at Imola, or seeing the #50 group of Nielsen, Antonio Fuoco, and Molina on the podium at Spa-Francorchamps, you get the feeling they are ready for the intensity once again.
