Marc Marquez is back, and he made it look like a walk in the park. The Ducati Lenovo Team rider didn't just win at Balaton Park; he destroyed the field from lights to flag, securing his 18th career Sprint victory. It was a masterclass of composure that sees him match Jorge Martin for the most all-time Sprint wins, proving that when he is on it, the man is simply in a league of his own.
Behind him, Pedro Acosta of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing kept the pressure on but ultimately had to settle for a solid second, while Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi managed to bring his Aprilia Racing machine home in third. Bezzecchi’s performance was crucial, as he successfully stretched his lead in the overall standings to 20 points. Raul Fernandez put in a valiant effort to challenge for that final podium spot, finishing just 1.2s behind Bezzecchi in fourth.
It was a chaotic scramble behind the leaders, with Fermin Aldeguer battling for position before a front-end moment at Turn 9 dropped him to fifth. Further down the order, Enea Bastianini put on a show for Red Bull KTM Tech3, charging from 14th on the grid to finish eighth, while Francesco Bagnaia grabbed the final point for Ducati Lenovo Team.
