MotorLand Aragón secures its place on the 2027 MotoGP calendar
It is official: the bikes are coming back to MotorLand Aragón. Following a fresh agreement between the Government of Aragón and MotoGP, this spectacular circuit will host the Grand Prix in 2027. It is a vital piece of the calendar, confirmed at an event in Zaragoza on the 10th of June.
The commitment does not stop there. Beyond the 2027 race, the venue is cemented within the MotoGP structure as an official reserve circuit from 2028 all the way through to 2031. As MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta noted, the track has been a key partner for nearly two decades, and this deal honors that history.
For the region, the impact is massive. We are talking about an investment of €12 million that helps drive an annual economic boost of nearly €50 million, with a huge chunk of that directly tied to the Grand Prix. It is a stunning event that brings over 110,000 fans to Alcañiz. Regional president Jorge Azcon put it best: "Motorcycles will once again roar around the Alcañiz circuit in 2027."
