Pepe Martí extends stay with CUPRA KIRO for 2026/27 Formula E campaign

Here's the thing about rookie seasons in Formula E: they usually chew drivers up and spit them out. But ? The Spaniard managed by A14—none other than the driver development group co-founded by former Formula 1 World Champion —made it look entirely natural.

After cracking the points in just his second E-Prix appearance and leading his home race in Madrid, Martí delivered a stunning drive from 15th on the grid to claim his maiden podium in Monaco. It was a massive milestone, making him the very first Spanish driver to ever reach the rostrum in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. He backed that up with a second-place finish at the 2026 Sanya E-Prix, wrapping up the year as the highest-placed rookie in the Drivers' Championship with 66 points.

Now, CUPRA KIRO has locked him in to continue that momentum into the 2026/27 season. It is a brilliant move for a team stepping straight into the upcoming GEN4 era, a machine shaping up to be an absolute beast of a race car. We are talking about a permanent all-wheel-drive single-seater capable of reaching speeds in excess of 335kph, hitting 0-100kph in approximately 1.8 seconds, and launching from 0-200kph in just 4.4 seconds—making it 1.5 seconds faster than its predecessor. With 50% more power in race mode, up to 600kW in ATTACK MODE, and lap times averaging 10 seconds faster in qualifying than the GEN3 car, the machinery waiting for him next year is wild.
