Here's the thing about bringing top-tier motorsport straight to the classrooms: it changes everything for students who are learning the trade. ACTC Educación recently wrapped up a strong two-day appearance at the Universidad Provincial de Oficios (UPrO), marking the third straight year this valuable educational partnership has taken place.
Rudy Camera, the rector of the educational institution, did not hide his enthusiasm for what this collaboration means for the local students. Having such a massive presence from the premier motorsport organization in the region acts as a serious catalyst for the mechanics program.
"It's the third year consecutive that it comes doing this activity," Camera stated. "For us it is very important, not only because we receive this enormous institution, that is the reference in motorsport, but also we host our students who study mechanics and that raises the bar for us. Every time that ACTC comes to this province it will be welcome."
The numbers speak for themselves, and the impact reaches well beyond basic textbook learning. Right now, UPrO counts more than 90 students enrolled in its automotive mechanics program.
For those aspiring builders and technicians, inspecting a proper racing machine offers an entirely different educational tier compared to working on standard road cars. Camera highlighted the significance of the experience, noting that students get to examine specialized safety measures, internal components, and heavily upgraded elements built specifically for high-performance vehicles.
"It is very significant that they can take advantage of these opportunities because it is not only about seeing the components and the safety measures that a racing car has, but also being able to see different elements that come improved for this type of vehicle, which clearly are different to the conventional car," Camera concluded.
