MotoGP has officially named four new executive appointments as part of an ongoing effort to shape the sport’s next phase of global expansion. That group of leaders joins an already restructured management team featuring Carlos Ezpeleta's promotion to Deputy CEO in August, Vince Russell arriving as Chief Financial Officer in May, and Enrique Aldama stepping into the role of Chief Administrative Officer alongside CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta.
Taking over as Chief Commercial Officer is Ryan Norys, who arrives from Tottenham Hotspur where he currently serves as Chief Revenue Officer. Norys brings a massive background in commercial business, having previously held senior commercial roles at AS Roma, Manchester City, and the Miami Dolphins. In his new post, he will steer MotoGP's global commercial function, overseeing partnerships, sponsorship, licensing, hospitality, marketing, and digital.
Ryan, Sameer, Louise and Denitza bring hugely valuable experience from leading sports and entertainment organisations that will strengthen our commercial, media, operations and strategy capabilities.
Sameer Pabari steps in as Chief Media Officer following a prior advisory role with MotoGP. Bringing two decades of experience across sports, media, and technology with organizations like the NFL, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Manchester United, Pabari will take charge of live broadcast production, long-form content, media distribution partnerships, and the growth of the championship's direct-to-consumer streaming service.
Meanwhile, Louise Young is set to join as Chief Operating Officer after spending more than eight years with Formula 1. Most recently serving as Chief Race Promotion Officer, Young will direct MotoGP’s race promotion business, along with events, operations, and ESG functions. Rounding out the strategic core, Denitza Batchvarova joined earlier this month as Chief Strategy Officer. Batchvarova brings two decades of financial and entertainment leadership experience, most latterly coming from UFC and TKO Group Holdings.
"These appointments are an important step in building the team that will help shape MotoGP’s future," said Carlos Ezpeleta, Deputy CEO of MotoGP. "Ryan, Sameer, Louise and Denitza bring hugely valuable experience from leading sports and entertainment organisations that will strengthen our commercial, media, operations and strategy capabilities."
In addition to these headline executive hires, MotoGP has also brought in further senior additions across its people and operation teams to better support employees, race promoters, and event stakeholders moving forward.
