Here is a stunning pairing for the end of the year: Era Motorsport has locked in Christian Rasmussen and Nick Boulle to pilot the No. 18 ORECA LMP2 07 for the upcoming TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This two-hour, 40-minute showdown runs from September 18-20, bringing the team back to its home circuit for its fourth IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship appearance since the venue returned to the calendar in 2023.
For Boulle, this weekend marks his Era Motorsport debut and his first return to Le Mans Prototype 2 competition since the 2025 Battle on the Bricks. Stepping back into the class after a year away brings its own hurdles, but the driver is ready for it. "I have been out of an LMP2 car and competition for a year, so it may take me a bit to warm up, but I’m super excited by the challenge we have coming up this weekend," Boulle said. He added praise for the outfit behind him: "I’m particularly looking forward to getting to work with Era Motorsport. I know Kyle Tilley puts together a great car and the team has clearly executed well in the past, so this was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up."
Rasmussen, meanwhile, steps back into familiar territory. The INDYCAR driver previously raced with the squad from the 2022 Petit Le Mans through the 2024 Daytona outing, a run highlighted by an unforgettable LMP2 victory at the 2024 Rolex 24 At Daytona alongside Ryan Dalziel, Dwight Merriman, and Connor Zilisch. "I have a lot of great memories with this team, especially winning the Rolex 24 together in 2024. I’m also really looking forward to working with Nick. I think we have a strong lineup, and I’m confident we’ll be able to fight right at the front."
As the 2026 season heads into its final stages, this pairing gives the squad a serious weapon. After the battle at Indianapolis concludes, the team will turn its full attention toward the season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans.
