BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP has confirmed its lineup for the upcoming weekend in Doha, bringing Fermin Aldeguer back to the grid alongside Iker Lecuona, who steps in to replace the recovering Alex Marquez.
Aldeguer is cleared and ready to race again after a brutal crash on Lap 2 of the Indonesian GP. That incident left him with a fracture at the base of the first metacarpal bone in his right hand. Following a successful operation and the necessary healing time, the #54 machine is back in business this weekend.
On the other side of the garage, Alex Marquez is sidelined after undergoing surgery following the Malaysian GP. The team is eyeing a return for the #73 in Portugal.
Stepping up to fill the void is none other than Lecuona. This assignment marks his fifth MotoGP weekend of the season, having already stepped in as a substitute for BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP on multiple occasions earlier this year.
