AJ Foyt Racing announced a multiyear agreement with Hendricks Holding Company, Inc. on September 30. The private investment firm based in Beloit, Wisconsin, counts ABC Supply Co., Inc., Hendricks Commercial Properties, and Geronimo Hospitality Group among its portfolio of manufacturing, construction, and transportation companies.
This deal extends a relationship that originally kicked off with ABC Supply back in 2005. The partnership continues the Hendricks family's backing of the No. 14 Homes For Our Troops Chevrolet, providing a national platform for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. That connection began ahead of the 2022 Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge when ABC Supply donated the design of the No. 11 Chevrolet to Homes For Our Troops alongside a matching-donation campaign. By 2026, the program expanded to a full-season entry on the No. 14 Chevrolet supported by Hendricks Commercial Properties and Geronimo Hospitality Group.
I always love the atmosphere and the fans there, and I look forward to having an exciting race to finish the 2026 season with hopefully another memorable trophy.
Homes For Our Troops has built and donated 445 homes across 46 states since its inception in 2004, with another 66 projects currently underway. These custom builds incorporate over 40 major special adaptations—ranging from wider halls and doorways to roll-in showers, automatic door openers, and backup generators—designed to help veterans live independently. The No. 14 Homes For Our Troops Chevrolet will be driven in 2027 by Dennis Hauger, the 23-year-old Norwegian who secured 2026 NTT IndyCar SERIES Rookie of the Year honors. Hauger captured the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone championship and has competed in the United States since 2025, joining AJ Foyt Racing on a multiyear agreement.
Meanwhile, five-time and reigning NTT IndyCar SERIES champion Alex Palou is heading back to sports car racing for the DESDER Indianapolis 8 Hour race held October 9-10 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. Palou teams up with title hopeful Luca Stolz and AMG Junior Lin Hodenius in the No. 80 Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG for the Intercontinental GT Challenge event on the 14-turn, 2.439-mile circuit. Palou previously drove for Lone Star in the 2024 edition, finishing 13th after electrical issues hindered his co-drivers' stints.
"The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a special place for me, and I am excited to be returning for another shot at the Indianapolis 8 Hour with Mercedes-AMG Team Lone Star Racing," Palou said. "I have some unfinished business from my 2024 GT3 outing, so I am really happy to reunite with the team to have another opportunity to aim for the race win."
"I always love the atmosphere and the fans there, and I look forward to having an exciting race to finish the 2026 season with hopefully another memorable trophy."
