Here is a massive piece of early grid news: Hitech has officially locked in Joshua Duerksen as their first confirmed driver for the 2027 FIA Formula 2 season. It is a stunning move for the British team, securing a proven contender who brings serious resume depth to the garage.
The Paraguayan racer arrives with three solid years of experience under his belt in the F2 Championship, having made his debut back in 2024. Over that span, he has accumulated an impressive tally of eight victories and 16 podium finishes in total.
The Mercedes Development Driver makes the jump with plenty of momentum and high ambitions. Expressing his thoughts on the upcoming chapter, he made it clear how much the opportunity means to him.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Hitech for the 2027 Formula 2 season,” said Joshua Duerksen. “Hitech has shown for many years that it is one of the strongest teams in Formula 2 and I’m very proud to have the opportunity to race with them.
