Marc Marquez equals the legendary record of Giacomo Agostini with 10 wins at the Sachsenring
It is difficult to find the words, but Marc Marquez has done it again. At the Liqui Moly Grand Prix of Germany, the Ducati Lenovo Team rider claimed his 10th victory at the Sachsenring, etching his name alongside the legendary Giacomo Agostini. To see a rider reach 10 wins at one circuit in the premier class is simply surreal, putting him in a league occupied only by the Hall of Famer who set the bar at the Imatra circuit.
This was not just a win; it was a display of utter dominance. After securing pole position and converting it into a victory in the Tissot Sprint, Marquez was effectively unstoppable on Sunday. He crossed the line nearly two seconds ahead of the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team duo of Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez. It was a flawless weekend for the reigning MotoGP World Champion.
When you look at his history here, the numbers are hard to believe. His love affair with this track began in 2013 during his rookie season, and he has since provided us with iconic rides, including a 9.857s margin of victory in a 2016 flag-to-flag race and an emotional return to the top step in 2021 while managing injury. After finding his winning ways again in 2025, this back-to-back performance brings his personal tally at the circuit to a perfect 10.
After the race, Marquez was clearly moved by the milestone. "10 victories at one circuit in MotoGP is something amazing, I'm super happy," he reflected. Ever the competitor, he admitted a bittersweet feeling about his brother, adding, "Honestly speaking, I'm not 100% happy as I would have liked to see Alex also here on the podium." It is this relentless drive to maximize every weekend that defines him, even as he continues to climb the all-time winners’ list.
Beyond this German masterpiece, Marquez remains a force at other venues, with seven wins apiece at the Circuit Of The Americas and MotorLand Aragon. But for now, the paddock heads into the summer break with this historic feat fresh in our minds. We will be waiting eagerly to see what he brings to Silverstone.
