Here's the thing about endurance racing: the planning never stops, and the future arrives long before the current flag even drops. Right on the doorstep of this year's Motul Petit Le Mans, three massive program announcements for the 2027 IMSA season have just dropped.
First up in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Grand Sport category, CSM (Czabok Simpson Motorsport) made it official last week Friday. Ismaeel Ellahi is stepping up to a full-season drive in the team's No. 2 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO.
Moving over to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Ford Racing locked in an unchanged lineup for its pair of Ford Mustang GT3s competing in Grand Touring Daytona Pro. Dennis Olsen and Ben Barker will pilot the No. 64 machine, while Frederic Vervisch and Christopher Mies take charge of the No. 65 entry.
Finally, Bartone Bros. Racing with GetSpeed is making a serious step up. After previously running just the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the squad is expanding its program for a full IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup effort in GTD PRO. Anthony Bartone and Fabian Schiller have been named as the first two drivers for the No. 69 Mercedes-AMG GT3.
