Here's the thing about racing: the recovery is just as brutal as the impact. Tommy Bridewell (Superbike Advocates) is officially heading back to MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship action at the Cremona Circuit after successfully passing a pre-round medical check.
It is a massive relief for the #46 machine, who took a heavy beating during the previous round at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. That French weekend had started with serious pace, but quickly turned into a disaster featuring two massive accidents. The first went down in Race 1 at Turn 14, though he managed to walk away cleared by medics.
Unfortunately, the second incident in Race 2 at Turn 3 was a whole different story. That particular crash triggered the red flags and landed the British rider in the medical centre, where he was diagnosed with multiple contusions and a suspected concussion.
Thankfully, Thursday at Cremona brought good news. Following his evaluation, Bridewell was given the green light to compete in Italy, putting the nightmare of France behind him and lining back up on the grid.
