It was another masterclass of a Friday for David Almansa riding for Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP, as the Spaniard completely commanded the timesheets by topping both FP1 and Practice. That makes it the 20th time this season he has found himself leading a session, and looking at the pace he is laying down, it is hard to argue with his dominance. His best effort of a 1'39.667 put him agonizingly close to the all-time lap record, and with Saturday still ahead of us, nobody should bet against that record falling.
Almansa looked metronomic from the moment he left the pit lane, setting a relentless rhythm that kept him glued to the top of the monitor for the vast majority of the day. Maximo Quiles representing CFMOTO Aspar Gaviota Team ended up 0.195s behind, and while he remains the current lap record holder for now, he was the only other rider capable of joining Almansa in the 1'39s. Further down the order, Alvaro Carpe of Red Bull KTM Ajo left his charge right until the end to secure third place at the chequered flag.
Fourth position went to Matteo Bertelle from LEVELUP-MTA, though his session was far from straightforward after a late fall at Turn 3 brought a disagreement with the track marshals before he managed to remount and clock his quickest time. Brian Uriarte driving for Red Bull KTM Ajo rounded out the top five, sitting just one spot ahead of Hakim Danish of AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSI, who also hit the ground late in the day.
Looking further down the order, Adrian Fernandez with Leopard Racing managed to squeeze into the coveted top 14 cutoff. That crucial spot denied David Muñoz of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP an ideal return from injury, leaving the #64 machine down in 15th place. Behind him came Guido Pini for Leopard Racing, 2025 Austrian GP polesitter Valentin Perrone of Red Bull KTM Tech3, Veda Pratama for Honda Team Asia, and Marco Morelli of CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team, setting the stage for what promises to be a fiercely contested Q1 session.
