Now, this is a machine that demands a second look. The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati squad rolled out a stunning special silver livery for Race 2 at the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto, Andalucia, capping off what has been a record-breaking MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship campaign for the outfit.
Both Nicolo Bulega and Iker Lecuona took to the track running the Panigale V4 R machine wrapped in a glittery silver finish. It is a gorgeous nod to history, paying tribute to the 750 Imola Desmo machine driven by none other than Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari to secure a Ducati 1-2 in the 1972 Imola 200 Miles race.
That is not all the paintwork celebrates, either. The stunning new look also marks the centenary of the Bologna-based manufacturer.
To tie the whole package together, a distinct tricolour detail completes the livery, forging a visual link between Italian star Bulega, Borgo Panigale, and the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team.
