What a way to close out the season. Paola Ramos put on a masterclass at her home Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto in Andalucia, securing a dominant triple crown of pole position and two wins to cap off the third season of the Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship. Meanwhile, Maria Herrera (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR) had already wrapped up the ultimate prize in Race 1, securing her second championship crown in the class. But that did not stop the rest of the field from putting on an absolute show in the finale.
From the moment the lights went out, Ramos was fighting for glory. She grabbed the holeshot while Yvonne Cerpa (MotosCerpa-Gradara Corse) launched brilliantly from P3 on the grid, leaving Herrera and Beatriz Neila to scrap right behind them. Herrera wasted no time clawing her way back to the front by Turn 2 of Lap 2, hungry to add another win to her championship weekend. But Ramos refused to let the #6 run away with a double, snatching the lead right back at Turn 13.
From there, Ramos and Neila checked out, leaving the rest of the pack behind. With three laps to go, the gap was a razor-thin quarter of a second. Neila threw everything she had at the rookie on the final lap, looking up the inside repeatedly, but Ramos stood firm. Ramos took her fifth WorldWCR win by 0.130 seconds, while Neila crossed in P2 to keep her staggering podium streak alive with silverware from every single race this year. That marks her 27th consecutive podium, sitting just two shy of Herrera’s all-time record.
Further back, Chloe Jones (Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha) delivered a breathtaking move to steal the final step of the podium. After slipping backwards early in the race, she fought her way back to her starting spot of P4 by Lap 5. Tailing Herrera by just two tenths on the final tour, Jones pulled off an extraordinary around-the-outside maneuver at Turn 13, passing the newly crowned champion on the final corner to claim her first podium appearance since Misano. Herrera settled for P4, which marked her first time off the podium since Race 2 in 2025—though missing out on the flowers probably will not hurt too much when you are holding a championship trophy for the second consecutive season.
Behind the leading quartet, Roberta Ponziani (Klint Racing Team) emerged at the head of the chasing pack in P5, 6.901 seconds behind the winner. Cerpa fought fiercely with Herrera early on, trading sharp moves for third between Laps 3 and 5, but ultimately faded to a P6 finish just 0.929 seconds back. Muklada Sarapuech (Yamaha AD78 FIMLA by EEST NJT Racing) looked threatening when she and Jones charged toward the front group, but her pace dropped off in the closing stages, leaving her in P7.
Tayla Relph (Full Throttle Racing) brought her machine home in P8, marking her best result since Round 2 at Assen. Natalia Rivera (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team) and Astrid Madrigal (Pons Italika Racing FIMLA) rounded out the top ten, with the Spanish rider crossing three seconds clear of the #83. Unfortunately, the race ended in disaster for Pakita Ruiz (PR46+1 Racing Team) and Sara Sanchez (Hadden Racing Team), who collided at the opening corner. Ruiz was later diagnosed with a broken big toe on her right foot alongside an abrasion and contusion on her left hand, ruling her unfit.
When the dust settled on the final standings, Herrera finished atop the championship with 250 points, followed by Neila with 222 and Ramos leaping to 167 after her stellar home weekend. Ponziani secured fourth with 145 points, while Jones and Sanchez tied on 115 points to round out the main players in a historic season.
