Albert Arenas (AS BLU CRU Racing Team) is your polesitter for the final time in 2026 after setting a blistering pace in the Tissot Superpole session. The #75 machine laid down a brand new lap record early on before improving it further to a stunning 1’41.084s, securing the third pole position of his rookie season right at home.
Beside him on the front row for Saturday's race will be replacement rider Jorge Navarro (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) and Can Oncu (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing). Navarro, stepping in for Oli Bayliss (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) while he rides in BSB this weekend, put on quite a show in only his second Superpole session. He even spent time fighting for P1 before a crash at Turn 6 with 30 minutes remaining on the clock. He dusted himself off and hauled that bike back to P2, finishing just three and a half tenths behind the 2026 WorldSSP Champion. Oncu briefly held the provisional pole before ultimately wrapping up the session in third place, marking his seventh front row appearance of the year.
Further back, Dominique Aegerter (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team) backed up his personal-best 2026 Superpole result of P8 from the last round by putting in a 1’41.476s lap to lead the Kawasaki charge in P4. Just under a tenth behind his two-time WorldSSP Champion teammate, Jeremy Alcoba will start right beside him in P5 as he looks to close out the 2026 campaign with his recent strong pace. Mattia Casadei (D34G WorldSSP Racing Team), who previously took pole at Jerez in 2025, locked down P6 with a 1’41.626s time to claim his best result of the season.
Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) flirted with the front when he climbed to P2 with 15 minutes left, but the late rush of faster laps pushed his 1’41.649s effort down to a P7 finish. Matteo Ferrari (WRP Racing) follows in P8 with a 1’41.709s lap after showing real strength up near the front throughout Friday's running. Alessandro Zaccone secured P9 with a 1’41.974s time, placing him a point ahead of Lucas Mahias (GMT94 Yamaha), while Simon Jespersen (EAB Racing Team) grabbed a late P10 just six hundredths behind Zaccone to secure his first Friday top ten since Most back in May. Unfortunately, Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura) was ruled unfit before Superpole after completing 16 laps in morning Free Practice, meaning he cannot fight for the third-place spot in the standings during this final weekend.
When the lights go out on Saturday, October 17th at 13:00 Local Time UTC +2, Arenas leads the pack with Navarro and Oncu right on his gearbox for WorldSSP's penultimate race of 2026.
