Here is the thing about absolute dominance on a race weekend: you rarely see it coming by this margin. Paola Ramos (Klint Racing Team) delivered a statement performance at the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto, Andalucia, storming to a resounding pole position during the Pirelli Spanish Round of the FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship. She didn't just pip the competition; she demolished the field by more than six tenths of a second.
That stunning pace was already evident earlier in the day when she topped the free practice timing sheets, but the Klint Racing Team machine truly came alive in the Superpole session. Ramos initially threw down a 1'51.163s in the first half of the outing to grab provisional top spot, before uncorking a blistering 1'50.911s. That lap not only stands as a new absolute record for the venue, but it also delivers her second career pole in WorldWCR with jaw-dropping authority.
Behind her, the battle for the 2026 title fight shaped up nicely. With roughly 90 seconds left on the clock, María Herrera (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR) muscled her way into second place with a 1'51.524s. That left her trailing the pole-sitter by a gap of 0.613s, marking the second largest margin in the history of the championship. Right behind Herrera, Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha) locked down third on the grid after carding a 1'51.677s, slotting herself directly into the front row alongside her championship rivals.
Further down the order, Natalia Rivera (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR) pulled a brilliant lap out of the bag in the dying moments to snatch fourth. Her 1'51.907s marks her career-best Superpole result, pushing her ahead of Roberta Ponziani (Klint Racing Team)—who is fighting this weekend to lock down third in the overall standings. Meanwhile, Australian rider Tayla Relph (Full Throttle Racing) rounded out the top six after posting a 1'51.971s.
The rest of the top ten saw Astrid Madrigal (Pons Italika Racing FIMLA) match her best Superpole result of the year with a 1'52.160s, missing out on the front row by roughly two tenths. Muklada Sarapuech (EEST NJT Racing Team) secured eighth ahead of Line Vieillard (FT Racing Academy) in ninth, while previous Jerez winner Sara Sánchez (Hadden Racing Team) rounded out the top ten.
