Here's the thing about racing at Phillip Island: when the weather turns, it waits for no one. Sunday's MotoGP track action at the Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia has been delayed because reduced visibility is severely affecting the medical helicopter's ability to fly.
Safety is the absolute bottom line, and until those conditions improve, the machines stay in the pit lane. The delay is expected to last until conditions improve around 11:00 local time.
Once the weather finally clears up at Phillip Island, the very first session scheduled to take place will be the 10-minute MotoGP Warm Up.
More updates are to follow as the situation develops. We will just have to wait and see when the beast can finally hit the tarmac.
