Here's the thing about the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series: it rolls right along with its Chase presented by Mobil 1, shifting gears from Phoenix Raceway straight to Talladega Superspeedway for a Friday clash at the 2.66-mile track.
The Love's RV Stop 225 marks the fifth of seven Chase battles on the calendar, standing as the 23rd points-paying round overall for the season. Gio Ruggiero rolls in as the defending Talladega winner.
At the sharp end of the standings, Kaden Honeycutt commands the Chase lead behind the wheel of the No. 11 Tricon Garage Toyota. That position at the top comes courtesy of a victory at Phoenix, giving him a 39-point cushion over his closest rival.
That rival is none other than Layne Riggs, holding down the second spot with the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports camp. Altogether, thirty-eight race trucks are locked in and entered for the weekend's action on the high banks.
