An artisan and a bohemian spirit, Tulio worked tirelessly throughout his life. Armed with his exceptional knowledge, he moved to Balcarce in pursuit of a dream, ultimately cementing his status as one of the most important single-seater vehicle builders anywhere in the world. His machines in Turismo Carretera were profoundly successful, defining an entire era of racing. Among them, the unforgettable "petiso" driven by Nasif Stéfano will forever stand as a monument born from his hands.
His brilliant craftsmanship extended far beyond local borders, earning the ultimate reward of building racing cars for an important world series that were both stunning and widely appreciated. Knowing his illness was coming for him, he left behind a final farewell letter that reflected his lifelong spirit. "I was born practically in Chacarita with a hammer in my hand. I grew up, working, learning about iron, and with a lot of sacrifice I went to Balcarce to make my life and my history. There I built everything I dreamed of as a kid," he wrote before his passing.
