That is how you do it at home. Campos Racing successfully retained the FIA Formula 3 Teams' Championship crown after putting all three of their machines into the points during Feature Race 1 in Madrid. It is a stunning achievement for the Spanish outfit, sealing back-to-back team titles in style.
Team Principal Adrian Campos was naturally thrilled with the milestone, though he made it clear that the job is far from finished. Speaking after the race, Campos kept his feet firmly on the ground despite the celebrations. "Right now, I am 25% satisfied. There are still three more that we need to do our best to achieve. Tomorrow, there is another race, Ugo needs to do the job and try to win the Drivers' Championship," he stated.
But, we need to keep doing what we have been doing, stay out of trouble, make no mistakes, no crashes and finish the race in the points and in front of Freddie. That's our goal tomorrow.
The squad missed out on the drivers' crown last season, and correcting that omission is the clear priority this time around. Every single year, the team's internal mission is simply to improve on the previous campaign, and so far, that relentless push is paying off.
Leading the charge on Saturday was Ugo Ugochukwu, who powered his way to fourth place. That result drew him level on points in the Drivers' Championship standings, putting him ahead on countback thanks to his two race victories compared to Freddie Slater's one. Ugochukwu starts Sunday's season-closing Feature Race from second on the grid, while Slater finds himself back in eighth.
Campos heaped praise on his entire driver lineup for their efforts across the 2026 season.Alongside Ugochukwu, both Théophile Nael and Ernesto Rivera remain firmly in the fight to secure top-five finishes in the final standings. Rivera earned special recognition from the team boss after missing the opening round due to injury, returning to the car with incredible pace, wins, and crucial points.
Looking ahead to Sunday's final showdown, the strategy is all about control rather than pure chaos. With overtaking notoriously difficult at the circuit, the team's game plan is straightforward: stay out of trouble, avoid mistakes or crashes, finish in the points, and cross the line ahead of the TRIDENT driver.
"This is a circuit that is not easy to overtake around, so after the quali that we had, the bad luck that Freddie had in Qualifying, everything has gone a bit more in our favour," Campos explained. "But, we need to keep doing what we have been doing, stay out of trouble, make no mistakes, no crashes and finish the race in the points and in front of Freddie. That's our goal tomorrow."
