Here is some clarity for the future: Hitech's Kanato Le is locked in for another season in FIA Formula 3 in 2027. That is a massive statement of intent for the driver, giving him plenty of runway to build on his career. But what happens when the helmet comes off and the visor goes up?
Unwinding after a brutal race weekend is never simple, but Le has a routine ready to go. When he is away from the racetrack, he still logs time on his simulatorQuite a bit, actually. But when he wants zero connection to motorsport, his hobbies lean toward pure physical exertion and outdoor movement.
He likes to go on a run or a cycle, and he even gets into bouldering. Rock climbing is part of the mix, which takes a serious kind of mental and physical focus. Since he has been living on his own since 2022—having spent time in a boarding house before that—he also handles his own kitchen.
Cooking is a genuine outlet for him, and he handles his own food without needing to coordinate with anyone else. His specialty? Carbonara. He notes that he is quite good at it, and it makes for a nice ritual when he is off the clock.
More recently, he has picked up videography. Having previously spent time on photography, he had the gear already lying around. After seeing cool cinematography on Instagram, he decided to give it a shot. His most recent project happened in Austria, where a free day on Wednesday took him to a lake surrounded by mountains to capture nature footage.
It takes him about one or two days to fully reset after a race weekend, and being on his own gives him the absolute freedom to switch off. Whether he is listening to music, going for a run, or just sitting in silence, that peace and quiet does the job.
